What is Power Ministry?

Power Ministry is a Christian organization for men that functions primarily to: assist participants in the growth of their Christian faith, providing for the physical and spiritual needs of the Mexican nationals whom we serve along the Rio Grande, and to encourage our ministry partners along the Texas/Mexico border and around the world.

The Power Ministry annual January trips to Mexico, along the Texas border, provide men an opportunity to have a first-hand, third world missionary/outreach experience without traveling overseas. By providing food and clothes and building homes and churches, we are able to meet some of the physical needs of people living in bitter poverty. This provides an opportunity for the missionaries we support in addition to the men on the trip to minister to the hearts open to hearing the Gospel. For those who attend, this often is a life-changing experience in terms of commitment to serving our Lord. We trust this will be a stepping-stone for men to dedicate their lives to sharing the love of Christ.

Video Tributes

We have two video tributes to share with you.  One in honor of Louie Davenport who faithfully served the Lord on the Texas/Mexico border for 50 years.  The second one is in memory of Brian Albright who made 17 trips to the border and was a leader in construction projects.  Brian went to be with the Lord in November 2024.
