What a difference a full allotment of sleep can make! We all had extra time this morning to sleep-in and drink some extra coffee. In the vans around 8AM and off to Senda de Vida to have Sunday service with Hector. His Church was established on an old trash landfill next to the Rio Grande. Great service with some of the locals.
Next stop was Alianza – a much larger Church with 4-5 services each Sunday. Alianza is the same location where we helped with the Festival yesterday. The place is BIG ~ they were flying a drone inside the worship building. Lots of “thank-you’s” to POWER group and lots of singing and clapping. Afterwards we were treated to a fantastic lunch of homemade tamales, rice, beans, quesadillas with cheese & meat, another loaded baked potato and a few other items. Needless to say, it was all good.
I was assigned to a framing crew today…. God gives us unique skills and talents. I am not a carpenter. I was taught how to effectively remove many crooked nails that placed ( I say this in a positive manner b/c I really did learn something ). A thank you for the crew today for helping those who clearly were not in their best roles.
I think we’re driving to Brownsville tonight….. Maybe we’ll see a Chupacabra along the way….
