We started the Sabbath bright and early with a hearty breakfast. We had another stress-free border crossing and headed to the Senda De Vida facility run by Hector and his wife. The facility is an exceptionally well run camp for 1200 people from about ten countries all working through the process of entering the US legally. We held our morning worship and devotion there.
Our devotion message emphasized letting our light shine as we are the ambassadors for Jesus on earth.
We then had a special guest, David Burkett. David’s mission is to evangelize within Mexico. He delivered an energetic and passionate message on the importance of men praying regularly and of ‘drawing a line’ to combat the spiritual warfare of today.
We then traveled to Allianza Christian church for an authentic Mexican lunch. We attended the third service and sang a song in Spanish to the congregation. We were given small gifts in appreciation for all of the work that has been done at the church over the years by Power Ministry.
We finished our day by gathering in front of the Reynosa city hall and doing street ministry. We were assisted in praying for numerous people by our wonderful translators. The street ministry was a first for the Power Ministry trips.
Our return trip across the border was remarkable – no waiting at all!
We enjoyed tasty Texas barbecue at Rudy’sfor dinner and then headed back to the Valley Baptist Retreat.
