Putting it all together. This morning we met Mr. Alan Ehlers who is the founder of Faith Mission, he’s been serving the Lord his whole life and started this amazing mission in 1961. Tim James finished off a phenomenal week of devotions to the 47 men on week two with his final message to us, “I am not ashamed of my purpose.” he also made me laugh because he opened by asking if anybody else was hoping that “work elves“ we’re doing our “day job responsibilities” while we’ve been gone – ha! I also took away that we are to “remain in Jesus” as Christians. I’m really thankful for Tim James this week.
The day began for some with a joy tour, helping local children with homework at school. Then stopping with locals in a nearby parking lot as the men offered food, clothing, toys and prayers to all that were there. The rest of the men worked hard on the projects and nearly completed all of them by day’s end. Finally we had great fellowship over a hearty steak dinner and washed it down with pie and ice cream for dessert.
Tomorrow we wrap up the trip and will “get away” to the airport. I have a unique surprise for you so make sure to tune in tomorrow!
